MKF-50, MKF-70 melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins
(TU U 24.1-13395997-017:2007)
MKF-50 resin is a condensation product of melamine and urea with formaldehyde in alkaline medium stabilized with triethanolamine.
MKF-70 resin is an aqueous solution of melamine-urea-formaldehyde resin esterified with methanol.
MKF-50 and MKF-70 melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins are used in thermosetting compositions (in combination with self cross-linking dispersions) to impregnate various materials. Introduction of melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins allows to control thermal resistance and rigidity of the film.
