“Chimplast-Acryl-012” acrylic dispersion

Chimplast-Acryl-012  is an aqueous dispersion of methacrylate copolymer stabilized with anionic surfactant.

Chimplast-Acryl-012 is a thermo-cross-linking dispersion which is used as a binder in aqueous dispersion paints for various PVC-base materials (oil cloth, roll material, linings, etc.).  Cross-linking ensures good adhesion to PVC-base materials, coating weather resistance and prevents tackiness in case of soft strongly plasticized substrates (e.g. oil cloth) which is caused by plasticizer migration into the paint layer.  To increase cross-linking of the film former it is possible to include in the paintwork material formulation melamine-formaldehyde – and melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins as auxiliary cross-linking agents. Consumption rate is 4-10 parts by weight of non-volatile content of resin per 100 parts by weight of non-volatile content of dispersion. When applying Chimplast-Acryl-012-based aqueous dispersion paint to obtain glossy coating it is recommended to apply a varnish layer- i.e.  Chimplast-Acryl-012 dispersion – over the paint layer.  Before use the paint should be diluted with water to application viscosity of 30-40 seconds by VZ-246 viscosimeter (nozzle dia 4 mm). Wet layer thickness is 100-200 mm, drying time – 3-5 minutes at 60-90°Ñ.

This dispersion is compatible with similar type polymer dispersions; it is stable when diluted with demineralized water with pH value retained.
