“Chimplast-Acryl-011” styrene – acrylic dispersion
''Chimplast-Acryl-011'' is a low viscosity 40% aqueous dispersion of styrene and acrylic-methacrylic ester copolymer with addition of emulsifiers and stabilizers.
The dispersion is compatiblewith polymer dispersions of similar type and thickeners; it is stableif diluted with demineralized water when pH value remains unchanged.
Chimplast-Acryl-011 is a thermo cross-linking dispersion used for impregnation of polyethylenetherephthalate- and glass fiber-based non-woven materials to make them thermal resistant (up to 150-200ºC) and to improve resistance of impregnated goods to organic solvents. The dispersion contains functional groups which ensure cross-linking at 150-200ºC in 2-3 minutes. Introduction of melamine-formaldehyde – or melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins, in particular MKF-50 and MKF-70, allows to control thermal resistance and rigidity of the film (increased quantity of melamine-formaldehyde – or melamine-urea-formaldehyde resins leads to increased rigidity and thermal resistance). The dispersion can also be used for paper impregnation in production of filters, tarpaulin type materials. To make impregnation solution stable it is recommended not to exceed 20% concentration of the solution as total non-volatile content.
