Chim-Alkyd 40/60 and Chim-Alkyd 40/46 alkyd-styrene resins

   We offer Chim-Alkyd 40/60 and Chim-Alkyd 40/46 alkyd-styrene resins developed by “Khimpostavschik”

These resins are solutions in xylene of medium oil alkyd glyptal resin modified with castor oil and styrene.

Chim-Alkyd 40/60 and Chim-Alkyd 40/46  resins are used as binders in production of enamels for painting instruments and other fabricated metal products used in various climatic conditions and indoors exposed to temperatures up to 130ºC. They can be used in production of paintwork materials for painting car chassis, machine tools and heavy equipment, ship decks, toys, in protective primer and prime-sealer formulations, in KO-835 silicone varnish formulation and also in air-drying hammer enamel formulations.

Marking

In accordance with GOST 9980.4 marking of the packaging with danger sign as per GOST 19433, class 3, subclass 3.3 (dwg. 3), classification code 3313, handling marks: “No heating”,  “Tight packaging” as per GOST 14192 and UN serial number 1866.

Packing

In accordance with GOST 9980.3.  the resin is packed in steel drums as per GOST 13950, GOST 6247 or any other applicable regulatory document; in tank trucks. As agreed with the customer, it is allowed to pack the resin in other type packaging of different capacity which ensures resin quality safety during transportation and storage.

Storage

The resins should be stored with account of their physical and chemical properties and following regulations for joint storage with other substances and materials in accordance with fire safety rules (NAPB A.01.001.).  Storage and transportation together with easy- to- oxidize and peroxide compounds are not allowed.

The producer guarantees resin compliance with the specification provided the customer meets application, transportation, and storage requirements.

Guaranteed storage life

6 months from the date of production. Upon expiry of the guaranteed storage life the resin is to be analyzed before each application to check for its compliance with the specifications and if the compliance is proved, it can be used for the purpose specified.

“Khimpostavschik” experts developed basic formulations based on this type binder.  We can offer samples of the product accompanied with basic formulations.

Chim-Alkyd 40/60 resin was tested in formulations of MS-067 primer and MS-17 enamel. Chim-Alkyd 40/46 resin was tested in hammer enamel formulation.
