FL-390 alkyd glyptal resin

FL-390 is a xylene solution of glycerol phthalate modified with rosin and drying plant oils.
The resin is used in production of perchlorovinyl weather- and chemical-resistant enamels XB-16, XB-124, XB-785 and others. In our laboratory we carried out comparative analysis of XB-785 and XB-16 enamels prepared using FL-390 resin and PF-060 alkyd varnish per GOST 15140-78. The compared criterion was “paintwork material adhesion on cross-hatching”.  Test results clearly showed that adhesion improves when using FL-390 resin.
